Thermarest Universal Couple Kit

We used this couple kit on the Dreamtime XL Thermarests. Although these Thermarests already have the straps attached on them that will allow 2 of them to 'stick' together, the couple kit was a snugger fit and the 'gap' between them was quite insignificant. The only negative is that it would have been nicer if they had made it so that the straps would connect on the outside edge of the Thermarests instead of underneath them. This made tightening them a bit of a struggle especially if you are dealing with the XL Thermarests.

We recently purchased a pair of Basecamp Thermarests and quickly realised the need to keep them together, as we usually share a double duvet. The couple kit enables the two mats to be quickly and easily strapped together, preventing them from drifting apart if you toss and turn while sleeping. Attaching and tightening the straps is quick and simple and we agree with other reviewers that the gap between the mats is insignificant in use. And, as the buckles tend to lie underneath the mattress, agree that wrestling to tighten them up in the confines of a small tent, in the wet, could pose a problem, but not in the dry, as attachment and tightening can be done outside.

A good piece of kit and an excellent addition to pairing sleepmats. Kit packs away small and light, with the process of coupling the two thermarests together being a fairly fast and easy one. I would recommend this item 100%.
