The Sea To Summit Aeros Premium Pillow is a luxurious yet weight conscious air pillow ideal for those trips where you can afford to carry a few extra grams in exchange for an excellent night's sleep. The inner of the pillow is a TPU bladder to inflate the pillow, around this is a synthetic fill which increases comfort and wicks moisture away. The outer case is a brushed 50D polyester which will retain maximum softness whilst remaining supported by the TPU bladder inner.

Curved internal baffles cradle your head and the scalloped bottom edges centre the pillow over your shoulders whether you are sleeping on your back, side or even upright in a chair. Inflation and deflation is done via the multi function valve and it only takes a few breaths to fully inflate.

Surprisingly comfortable, and despite the (obviously) unbreathable core, the pillow cover coped well with not being hot or 'sweaty' in use. It would have been a five star review if the outer cover were removeable so that it could be washed (and other, cheaper inflatable pillows have this facility).

The Aeros Premium pillow is really very good. Previously I've used Exped's regular version in large and had some good success with it (my review's still visible for those who are interested). But having tried the Aeros, I do think this is an improvement; if only as the pillow surface is soft to the touch and doesn't actually need to be covered with a fleece (although it'd probably benefit from such, longevity-wise). Excellent ergonomics, clever valve, stuff sac that actually fits nicely together with instructions on the exterior; carry-handle and sensibly-sized toggle. Definitely recommended (we prefer the large version - 35g more but far less fiddly during the night as it tends to fit into the entire sleeping-bag hood, rather than moving around).
