Full Description
The Petzl Tikkid is a headtorch that has been especially designed for children. The output provides a floodlit 20 lumens, protecting young eyes from any potential damage yet still providing a workable amount of light for reading and play.
The Tikkid has three lighting modes, all accessed by the single push button. Low mode is ideal for close up work like reading, high mode is suited to outside play use and a blinking mode assists with being more visable from a distance. Access to the battery pack is protected by it requiring a flat head screwdriver to open it up. As young children often forget to turn things off, the headtorch comes with an automatic shut-off after an hour, so this prevents totally flat batteries. The torch also features a phosphorescent reflector making it easy to locate in the dark.
The Petzl Tikkid features Hybrid Concept construction, meaning that it allows the headtorch to be used with either three x AAA batteries, great for occasional use or with a Core rechargeable battery, perfect for frequent use as it being far more economical.
