Resembling an ice axe the Stake Hammer's hardened steel head will withstand a lifetime of peg hammering while the 'pick' makes removing pegs a doddle. MSR have balanced the hammer perfectly to make hammering pegs into hard ground easy, so you can leave those rocks or pans alone.
At only 312g its not just for car camping and in true MSR style the slight lip of the hammer has been designed to double as a bottle opener.

How have I ever coped without this? I carry all my kit while out hiking so everything has to earn it's place in my pack. Having spent many years treading on pegs or bashing them in with a rock I have just done 5 days walking around the Isle of Wight with this 'luxury' item. Worth every one of its 312 g. Best part is the claw for pulling pegs back out. No bent pegs on the trip. No grazed ankles when my foot has slipped off a peg and no cut fingers from pulling pegs back up. Superb. Highly recommended.
