Full Description
The MSR Fuel Bottle is made from a single piece of impact extruded aluminium. The lack of seams and welds means the bottle is more resistant to cracks and leaks and can handle the pressurisation necessary for best stove operation. MSR recommend that you only use an MSR fuel bottle with their stoves.
They come in 3 sizes;
Size | Capacity | Weight |
---|---|---|
Small | 325ml | 79g |
Medium | 590ml | 139g |
Large | 887ml | 207g |

Great item, previously used the medium size- went for the large to save filling up time. MASSIVE capacity relative to flame time, one fill will last me months if not all year. Does make the set up a little more fiddly the bigger the bottle though. Best price incl delivery and great service by Facewest

I don't really know how much you can say about this bottle, except that it performed exactly as it should have done. I found that this size was enough for me on a trip in not to extreme weather (lots of rain and strong wind, just below zero) which lasted for 8 days. This is largely due to the simmer ability of my Dragonfly, other MSR stoves might have burned through much more, but I found it to be sufficient! I had a backup smaller filled bottle which I did not use, but I would say that if you are more than one person or planning to cook slightly more exotic foods than bacon and boil-in-the-bag then I would certainly recommend taking more fuel. But does exactly what it is supposed to do, very satisfied.

I own the medium and large and I am fully satisfied with those so far. I use different size so I can store different type of fuels in each bottle. The small one is on my shopping list as it will easily accommodate a solo trip for a couple of days. No leaks and very sturdy.

I have used an MSR Dragonfly stove for several years and regularly carried a large fuel botle for a weekend trip then brought it back almost as full. My new one is the smallest size available, 325 ml, which is more than enough for a full weekend of cooking. I immediately have a saving in bottle weight and the fuel inside it but, more importantly, it takes up less room in my bag. Another possible advantage is that it should be inherently stronger and more resistant to knocks as the diameter and length are both less than the larger bottles. The new bottle has a childproof lock on the cap that could be a benefit but it could also possibly be a problem with cold hands.

Top quality kit as you would expect from MSR. I already owned one bottle from MSR and this time needed something smaller. Small is a perfect size for 3-4 day solo trips.
