This is the latest (2016) version of the Miry Map Board Support and is lighter than the older version. Miry Map Boards and Supports are the first choice for cycle orienteers and adventure racers looking for the highest performance navigation tools. The adjustable screw through the map board eliminates all vibration and adjusts how much force is required to rotate the board making this the easiest mapboard to read from on the market.

In order to offer the greatest combination of clamp size, board size and cover style we now sell the Map Board and Cover separately to the Support. You need to add a clamp and a board to your basket for a complete set up.

Compatibility:

The bar clamp and support comes in 2 sizes of the most popular handlebar sizes, a 31.8mm or 35mm . The clamp is compatible with all flat bars and with risers so long as there is more than 73mm between the rises. If you have a narrower handlebar (25.4mm) then you'll need to buy the 31.8mm option and the Miry Handlebar Adapter to make it fit.

I bought this for MTB orienteering events in the UK. Needed 35mm bar version. I position the board horizontally so that I can clip a compass on and the needle will still spin properly. Mounted it with the centre of rotation on the rider side of the bars which gives good height and closeness to use with glasses and without being snagged by knees. Fitting the screws is quite difficult, the metal frame is soft and the screws are difficult to locate. It's critical not to mis align the threads and to press the clamp so the holes line up in 2 planes. I recommend using GT85 etc making sure the threads run very smoothly before trying to install on the bike.
