I am a TV and Broadcast engineer on my day to day work and I usually find myself in need of a variety of tools at hand that are small in size - and can't always carry a toolbox with me. The Leatherman Knifeless Rebar is a great everyday carry item for all those odd jobs that need a bit of filing or a loose screw that needs doing. The most important thing is that it is UK-legal, so you can carry it outside of work or around your home - no locking knife means no breach of the law. I would like to get rid of the saw knife as well, but I have found myself having to use it a few times so it's probably good to have! I have further expanded the set with the Leatherman Bit driver so that I can have a variety of bits to use to screw/unscrew. The tool itself is really well built, tough and durable, and it came well lubricated and oiled - no hitches at all when exposing any of the tools. It comes at a price, but it's a Leatherman so you are guaranteed peace of mind and durability. Very pleased with the service from Facewest as well: very fast delivery.

Very prompt delivery considering so near to Christmas. Best price in the UK from Facewest for this Leatherman after a lot of research. I had a Gerber MP600 knifeless that I left somewhere in my previous abode, but I love this UK 'street-legal' Rebar and it has a much more precisely engineered finish and refined action than the Gerber and because of the deliberate omission of a blade I can take it anywhere with me. If you're considering buying one don't wear your brain out thinking about it and just buy this fantastic tool from the fantastic Facewest and I'm sure you won't regret it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. . . .

Great speedy delivery and secure packaging from FW - thanks for this! I'm not going to dock a star for the fact that FW's listing erroneously lists this tool as having a bottle opener (a can opener is all that's included in this department), but whilst knocking the lid off a cool one might not be quite so neatly accomplished in the absence of a dedicated opener, it's not exactly rocket science to do so in other ways. Whilst we're addressing the accuracy of the tool, mine weighed in at a smidgen under 179g, although I do understand that there's generally an allowance for small weight discrepancies between supposedly identical tools. The nylon pouch is tough and appears well made. Mine weighed 29. 2g. I've also got the Squirt (had it for years) but even though it only has a small blade, technically it's still a locking knife, which in the UK, could be a bit of an issue with some over-zealous policing. . . So for everyday carry, on the person (belt in my case), this is perfect. Quality-wise, it's oozing - SO superior to cheaper and in my experience, less dependable knock-offs. Sure - the pliers could be sprung (the scissors are) but I feel this could affect the longevity overall so I don't see this as a big deal. How many pliers are sprung anyway? Be aware though, that the saw blade is really sharp and the awl has a pointed tip. Given that ALL the gadgets are lockable (as in, they lock in position meaning that you can use them without the risk of them collapsing in use), some of these ends could still be lethal in the wrong hands (I'm thinking that perhaps this isn't the best gift for a child for this reason - but this is only an opinion! ) All-in-all, really good though.
