The La Sportiva Boulder X is the classic workhorse approach shoe beloved by mountain guides and anyone who spends their time in the outdoors. The tough Boulder X is sutiable for long walk-ins as well as cragging while the supportive sole and grippy Vibram rubber will take you on Via Ferrata and even up easier routes.

An incredibly durable suede leather upper with abrasion resistant reinforced rubber rand provide protection and dependability on the most technical approaches over an impressively long lifetime. The Vibram sole with Impact Brake system and 2mm EVA insert gives fantastic grip and cushioning on climbs and long descents. A patented asymmetrical lacing system will give an excellent fit across all foot types and maximum holding power to prevent foot slippage on technical descents and traverses.

I bought these for a trip to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco as I did not want the weight of a full boot given the easier trekking there. They proved to be absolutely ideal - light, comfortable and with a good grip. They also look well built so should last a bit longer than my other approach shoes have. Even better was that they look good enough to go to a halfway decent restaurant without too many sideways looks! Great price and first class shoe.

very good all round shoe, work well on all surfaces and very comfortable- could be improved with more rubber on the sole. The uppers on mine are still in good shape but the sole is very thin. sizing is small so go up one. I would buy again.
