Pod New for Spring 2010

Spring is here at last and so is the new range of packs and dry bags from Pod.
Pod is a brand that is renowned through out the climbing world as manufacturers of extremely durable tough rucksacks. They use super tough Cordura fabric in the construction which is triple stitched and provide a pack you can trust that will last through years of use.

But their packs are also known for their design. They are put together with the climber and the mountain in mind. Designed to sit high on the back above the climbers harness, so to give an unrestrictive fit allowing for good freedom of movement.

The Alpine 50 and 40 can be stripped right down in order to save weight on those hard summit pushes but with out compromising the fit and function of the pack.

Where as the Granite range is a great pack for multi pitch trad’ climbing. It has a large opening via a good chunky zip and side compression straps. Again this sits high on the back allowing for good movement and comfort.

Pod have also developed a range of ultralight dry and stuff sacks. Again made from Cordura but this time a superlight version. But don’t be fooled by it’s light weight, in abrasion tests this material came out as hard as nails!

The eVent panal allows the air to be squeezed out.
