Bought to fit on my 37L lightweight backpacking sack (not Exped) which loads better with very little in the lid. This pocket allows the stuff that I need to access quickly to be conveniently stored without using the lid. I'd say the smallest size sack the pocket would fit is around 35L. Looks quite neat, almost as if it's an original part of the sack. It's early days but I wouldn't fancy stuffing my wet Nallo flysheet into it though a smaller, one-man fly might just about be OK. I'd probably say that the pocket is at its practical limit when keeping a waterproof jacket handy or for drying it out. The rather thick plastic mounting hooks seem strong but fixing it firmly to my particular sack while allowing for easy removal/reversal involved a couple of mini karabiners (at the top) & small split rings (bottom) but I'm happy with the result. However, the top straps do need to be under some tension to keep the pocket tight to the sack, which then made for difficult access. Perhaps the reversibility of the pocket is a step too far as ideally the top back(inside) of the pocket should be held tight to the sack while the outside top needs to be slacker or elasticated to assist loading. As it is I didn't use the draw-cord at all because both sides of the neck of the pocket were tensioned so tightly against the sack. This meant that while nothing fell out, accessing the contents wasn't at all easy. So, not perfect but a useful addition for me & it will also find a use on my other larger lidless sack for storing those bits & bobs needed during the day. I suspect I'll be modifying the top drawcord arrangement using elastic to address the issues I've mentioned. Overall, to be recommended with a bit of tweaking. A good price & prompt shipping, as ever from Facewest.

This is a useful piece of kit to add a front pocket to pack such as a climbing pack that lacks pockets. It fit my 40l mountain pro pack by attaching to the side daisy chains but could attach to many different packs particularly with side daisy chains.
