The Black Diamond Cheat Sheet is the easiest and best way to store your skins whilst on the hill and over the summer

The cheat sheet is a strip of lightweight mesh 205cm long and 150mm wide. First thing, cut the strip in half to have 2 x 1 metre lengths. When you want to remove your skin, just peel about a third of it off your ski and stick the cheat sheet to the exposed glue. Now as you gradually peel the skin off the ski, stick the cheat sheet to it at the same time. When you reach the end of the sheet, go back up the other side. When done it's like your skin is stuck to itself but with the cheat sheet in between. No more skins flapping about in the wind. No difficulty pulling your skins apart to stick them on, just reverse the process (especially helpful if you have wide skins with acres of glue). Save weight as there is need to carry the skin bag.

Some skins come with some backing material when new which can be used for the same job, but if you don't have something like it, then Cheat Sheets are a must.

The sheet is as described. I cutitin 2 equal pieces of 1m long each and I used one piece for each one of the 2 skins. I placed the1m long piece on half the skin and then folded the other half over. The sheet is easy to remove when you want to put the skins on your skis. Made my life much easier. Highly recommended! ! ! ! !

I like these cheat sheets. They have a firm feel which makes them easy to handle. I also appreciate that they are black, as white ones areeasy to miss in the snow at the point that they are removed from the skins. So far, I have only applied them to my skins for storage until next season, but theyseem like a good product. They were delivered by the Post Office earlier than expected but I had checked in advance that they would be able to be posted.

These are great for storage and looking after the glue on your skins, however using them on the hill I find unless you are fairly quick on folding, the skin detaches from the sheet compared to my K2 original. Could be a problem on that windswept col. . .

Bought these for seasonal storage of G3 Alpinist+ skins. Work very well. Store in less than 10c if possible to stop glue issues.
