Full Description
The Scarpa Crux is a durable, classic approach shoe with a precise fit and grippy sole for technical approach and scrambling. The Crux uses a traditional suede upper to give a tailored and comfortable fit, with a full mesh tongue for increased breathability in hot weather. The down to the toe lacing allow for the fit to be adjusted for precision, like a rock shoe.
The Crux features from a Vibram Megagrip outsole, the stickiest of all the Vibram rubber compounds and perfect for technical scrambling. The full rubber rand around the toe gives grip as well as protection and durability.

I bought these to replace a pair of Scarpa mescalito that are being resoled. First impressions; very similar last and fitted exactly the same, albeit slightly tight in a good way and actually felt very much like mountain boots. They have an exceptionally stiff sole for a low shoe, and as a bonus the sticky sole is perfect for mountain biking. Overall, if you like Scarpa shoes then I would highly rcmd. Also, Facewest service was excellent as usual, with quick service and super customer care.
