The Rab Generator Alpine Jacket is a packable synthetic insulated belay jacket designed for the worst conditions that a Scottish winter can throw at you. The Generator Alpine uses PrimaLoft Gold with Cross Core technology. This combines Aerogel particles with PrimaLoft fibres to create a barrier between you and the cold. Aerogel is a highly porous, low density structure composed of more than 95% air, it is the lightest solid material known to man and one of the most effective insulators.
The Generator Alpine has a recycled Pertex Quantum Pro face fabric with Diamond Fuse technology. Diamond fuse uses interlocking diamond cross section filaments with lock together creating a flatter, more snag resistant surface than traditional fibres.
The main zip is a 2-way YKK VISLON zipper with an internal baffle to keep out the cold and a chin guard for comfort. The zip pulls are oversized for use with gloves. There are two large YKK zipped hand pockets, one YKK zipped chest pocket and two internal open dump pockets. The insulated hood is helmet compatible, has a stiffened peak and 2-way adjustment. The oversized cuffs feature hook and loop adjustment for use wiht large winter gloves.
