Full Description
The Petzl Irvis Crampons are lightweight classic 10 point general mountaineering crampons ideal for mountaineering, alpine use and moderate winter climbing. They are available in two versions which between them satisfy 3 types of binding. The length is easily adjustable in small increments without tools as it uses a simple sprung metal bar to keep the extendable bar securely in the correct place.
The Irvis crampon is made from durable Steel making them suitable for almost all types of mountaineering, from perfect snow ridges in the Alps to slightly 'rockier' expeditions in Scotland. The horizontal front points give a good purchase in hard snow at steep angles and an anti-snow system limits snow build up between the boot and crampon, even in wet snow conditions.
The Leverlock Universal version of the Irvis is for use on boots which have a heel welt, the front bale can then be changed to work on boots with or without a toe welt as required. It is fully adjustable for any boot size.
