Full Description
The Petzl Fakir Crampon Bag is a great place to store not only your crampons but also ice-screws and spare picks. Protecting your pack and kit from those sharp spikes. It also makes an ideal bag for touring skins.
The semi rigid bag has an internal strap to lash crampons down securely. The tough mesh panel allows water to escape and equipment to dry.

My previous crampon bag was cruelly ripped from my hands by the wind on an inhospitable winter Munro. . . should have tied it to my bag. Luckily, the Petzl Fakir Crampon Bag has a couple of webbing loops that lend themselves to attachment. Otherwise, the bag seems sturdy enough and the mesh panel should help things to dry out and hence avoid rust. It fits my Grivel G12s perfectly.

Good semi-rigid case that will take any size of crampon. However, probably best for storing crampons at home rather than being used regularly in the field as the material isn't particularly tough. Puncture marks began to appear after just one outing. Nowhere near as durable as say the Black Diamond Toolbox.

Not a lot to say really. Bag does the job fine. Fits my BD Neve Pro crampons in fine. Its a snug fit that requires them to be collapsed down to their smallest size but that means you're not carting around an unnecessarily large/heavy bag. The BD crampons are only alloy though and not hat sharp so I do wonder whether sharper steel crampons might go through the material. My friends BD crampon bag has a rigid hardboard insert for added protection whereas this one doesn't have anything like that.
