The Patagonia Baggies Shorts are durable, simple shorts for use in and out of water. Made from 100% recycled Nylon with DWR finish. The fabric is Bluesign Approved and fair trade certified sewn.
The elasticated waistband has an internal drawcord for a secure fit. They have an internal mesh liner, and the pockets have a draining mesh corner. The rear pocket flap has a low profile snap closure.

A friend recommended Patagonia Baggies a few years ago as a di itall short for beneral wear as well as swimming in, and I have never looked back. Back then, I got the 7 inch version which I wear for days and days on end when in hotter climes. They are super durable and look brand new after every wash.
These new ones are slightly shorter with a 5 inch inseam and the material seems to be a bit thinner so time will tell if they are as durable, hoping that the asnwer is yes! The pockets are proper pockets, deep and useful and the little elastic loop in the right hand pocket is very useful for attaching a small dry tube for keys or whatever, great idea! The pockets have drainin mesh so won't fill with water - another great idea!
Having many pieces of Patagonia gear, I trust it, as it is excellently made stuff and lasts forever - I have a pair of thermal long johns I bought in 1994 for a trip to the Himalayas and they are still used every winter. Don't really need tot say any more than that!
