The Mountain Equipment Super Couloir Gauntlets are durable and fully waterproof, designed for maximum climbing dexterity and excellent protection whilst working hard in the mountains.
Constructed with a stretchy and breathable Exolite double weave soft shell outer combined with a GORE-TEX insert they provide total waterproof protection. The palms and backs of the hands feature Pittards Armortan Goatskin leather which assists with grip and durability when handling ropes, axes or poles. Inside the back of the hand areas, warm fibre pile lining keeps the cold at bay whilst on the palms there's microfleece lining for wicking comfort.
Featuring Mountain Equipment's Climbing Fit, the fingers are articulated and pre-curved giving you a more natural hand position and assisting greatly with dexterity, making easy work of handling screws and carabiners along with a precise and comfortable grip on your axes. A single handed drawcord closure allows you to seal out the elements. It also comes with removable wrist tethers and carabiner carry loops for preventing the gloves loss, by being able to attach them to your harness. Reversed suede on the inside of the thumb area provides a bit of comfort to your nose and face should they need a wipe.
