The Mountain Equipment Lhotse Jacket is an all round durable jacket providing you with excellent weather protection in any season and for any mountain adventure. The Lhotse is constructed from 40 denier, three layer GORE-TEX Pro Most Breathable fabric with protective heavier weight 80 denier GORE-TEX Pro Most Breathable reinforcements in the high wear areas. GORE-TEX Pro Most Breathable is the toughest and most breathable waterproof fabric in the GORE-TEX Pro range. It has been constructed for intense activity that may include frequent stops providing the high levels of breathability and durability required by the climber, mountaineer or ski tourer.

All the features on this jacket have been designed with ME's Storm Construction protecting you from the worst of mountain weather. The hood is fully adjustable with Cohaesive cordlocks, is helmet compatible and features a seamless face panel that will enable maximum comfort for when the weather becomes challenging. All the main zips on the jacket are water resistant YKK Aquaguard, assisting with keeping the weight down, the weather out and sealing you safely inside the jacket. There are plenty of pockets on the Lhotse, so its ideal for keeping essential items close to hand. Two-way YKK reversed out coil pit zips feature on the jacket being super handy when you need to dump excess heat fast, and being polyurethane coated they provide a high level of wind and water-resistant protection as well.

The Lhotse also features ME's Alpine Fit, providing excellent wearer comfort whilst retaining a slightly closer fit with articulated pre shaped sleeves that give you a greater freedom of movement. Dual tether hem drawcords assist with keeping the jacket in place and the laminated cuffs are adjustable so they can be worn over or under your gloves, depending on the conditions.

I spent quite a lot of time researching what jacket to buy given the price point. The jacket had brilliant reviews in the walking magazines and had pretty much sold out everywhere which was a good indication of how good it was I thought. I have been out walking in the Yorkshire Dales where I live in it for the past couple of months, through the winter in all kinds of conditions. Its handled torrential horizontal rain, blizzard snow and freezing fog and mist all as if it was nothing. The Lhotse is absolutely bombproof , the build quality as you would expect at this price is outstanding , the pocket zips and hood adjustment all brilliant, although its not been warm enough to use the pit zips yet. It was the first time I have bought from Facewest and received excellent customer service, will definitely buy from them again. Absolutely delighted with my purchase.
