Drilite is described as a 'hydrophilic, Monolithic Polyurethane Membrane'. What it actually is, is a layer of non-porous polyurethane that is thin enough to allow water vapour to pass through it's molecular structure, this is the breathability.

Bought this cap as I knew climbing Ben Nevis was going to be a wet day. This cap is great, fits well, kept my head dry and the rain off my face. Same marine colour as my ME Jacket. Cracking price and arrived within 2 days.

I like this cap - it's very comfortable, definitely breathable and waterproof. My only minor gripe is with the adjustment strap at the back. Now I admit I have a very large head (I normally take the largest hat size there is) but this cap will only fit me when I have the strap completely loose (ie not done up at all). Which is ok except that then there is a large expanse of 'hook & loop' which catches on fleece or anything wooly and is a bit annoying. I have a North Face cap and that doesn't suffer from the same thing - loads of adjustment room on the strap, even for my big noggin and a clip instead of the velcro. If you have an average sized head I doubt this will be a problem for you, though the hook & loop might still catch in your fleece.
