The Mountain Equipment Aerotherm Jacket is a lightweight and fast drying windproof layer with a wicking micro-grid lining. This is the perfect layer for spring and autumn days, high up in the mountains. It will keep the wind off and offer a little warmth in exposed situations while wicking moisture off your skin while you are working hard on the ascent.
Exolite 45 is a light and durable double weave softshell that forms the outer layer of the Aerotherm Jacket. It is windproof with a good amount of stretch to allow total freedom of movement. Beneath the EXOLITE 45 is a very light micro grid layer. This provides some warmth when stationary, but comes into its own when you are working hard. Using capillary action it wicks sweat away from your body keeping you at an optimum temperature.
The Aerotherm features a low profile adjustable Mountain Hood that can be roll down for storage. There are two zipped handwarmer pockets that sit high so they do not interfere with a climbing harness. There is also a small zipped Napoleon pocket for a topo or other small essentials. The jacket is made to Mountain Equipment's Active Fit with articulated, pre-shaped sleeves. When not needed the whole jacket packs up into once pocket that features twin carabiner carry loops.
