The Mountain Equipment Aerostat Synthetic 7 provides the perfect combination of thermal efficiency and tactile comfort. It is 7cm thick and contains Polarloft synthetic insulation providing excellent protection from the cold ground. It packs away fast and is compact, saving space in your pack making it ideal for fast and light adventure racers, alpine climbers/mountaineers and minimalist backpackers/bivviers.
The mat is inflated using the provided Windsock, this is easily operated/connected to the Gas Mask valve and fills the mat in only four inflations. It also doubles up as a lightweight stuff sack for the mat. The two-way Gas Mask value allows inflation without any air escaping yet it will also allow the air to be dumped out quickly when you need to pack it away. The valves are clearly labelled IN and OUT ensuring you use the correct one.
The Aerostat Synthetic 7 is constructed utilizing vertically aligned baffles and internal foam plugs that eliminate cold spots and promote a stable and supportive air cushion. The sturdy outer is a puncture resistant 30 denier ripstop nylon fabric with TPU lamination making the mat durable and airtight yet still lightweight and packable.
