Check out our pick of the new products from Rab this season…
The Rab Kinder Smock is a classic down smock originating in the early ’90’s. Now it features the latest technology and materials in the form of a Pertex Classic Outer, Pertex Quantum lining and 650FP European Duck down.
The metal snap closure is paired with the large kangaroo pocket which is completed with the classic logo on the front. This is a great throwback jacket for the crag and round town on cold days.

Valiance & Womens Valiance Jacket
The Valiance is a super warm waterproof down jacket ideal for tough winter weather. With a fully taped Pertex Shield Outer the down inside won’t get wet which means it will maintain its insulating properties and you won’t get wet either.
The down is kept evenly distributed throughout by the bonded narrow box wall construction and the cuffs feature synthetic insulation rather than down which means even if they do wet out you won’t lose the insulation.
The new Latok Jacket has been designed as the ultimate durable breathable waterproof jacket for tough conditions. The eVent DVexpedition membrane is the toughest membrane in the eVent range and has been given a grid backer for extended comfort and even more durability.
Rab’s Escape Artist Pit Zips come nearly the full length of the sleeve giving you the absolute maximum in venting while the bellowed chest pockets can also be used for additional venting. This is a tough jacket which is designed to be worn all day everyday in during tough trips and expeditions.

Infinity G Jacket
The Infinity G Jacket takes Rab’s premium Zero G Jacket from last winter and makes it into a bigger version designed to keep you warm in very cold conditions. Although it doesn’t feature the crazy 1000FP down of the Zero G, it’s 850FP (and with 240g in a size large can you image the cost if it was 1000FP!?), it does still have the ultimate lightweight 7D Pertex Quantum Outer which has been paired with a 100% nylon inner.
This is a super warm yet super lightweight jacket, though as with the Zero G it does come at the cost of having a very thin outer fabric.

Superflux & Womens Superflux Hoody
The Superflux Hoody is a warm, slim fitting midlayer ideal for active use in cooler weather. The grid face is designed to allow layers to slide easily on top of it and the brushed back is wicking and comfortable against the skin.
Hut Boot & Hut Slipper
Perfect warm footwear for mountain huts. Cirrus Featherless Insulation provides warmth and the Pertex Microlight ripstop gives a water and abrasion resistant outer. A tough nylon sole ensures that these slipper should last well, however they are lightweight mountain hut slippers so using them everyday as a house slipper will probably wear them out pretty fast!
Merino Plus Baselayers
Merino+ is now going into its 2nd winter season so this generation of baselayers promises to be able to use the excellent Merino+ fabric and technology to extract the absolute maximum performance.
All baselayers featuring Merino+ are a mix of Merino wool and 37.5 Technology. Merino Wool is well known for its excellent temperature regulating properties due to its ability to absorb water vapour and water.
This is where the 37.5 Technology comes in. It involves embedding particles in the Merino Wool to massively increase its surface area. These particles allow heat from the body to accelerate vapour transfer through the wool and with the large surface area make it incredibly quick drying. This gives Merino+ an excellent ability to keep your temperature stable and your skin dry.
The number in the name of Merino+ products refers to the fabric weight. 120 can be considered a normal lightweight baselayer weight for all round use.
