We’ve just taken delivery of our Montane Spring/Summer ’13 range and are pretty excited about some of the awesome products in there!
Montane’s catchprase is ‘Further. Faster.’ and they’ve certainly stuck by that with this season’s range. They specialise in lightweight performance clothing for fast-and-light pursuits: running, adventure racing, alpine climbing and backpacking. We’ve expanded on our range for this season and are carrying a large selection from super-light waterproofs to running shorts and tees. Being a specialist company who haven’t given in to the fashion industry, you can always be sure of a great quality and supremely functional piece of kit – and at a fantastic price too!
We’re carrying Montane’s rucksack range for the first time this year and were pretty excited to have a play with them when they came in. Ranging from a 22-litre racing sack through to a 40-litre climbing pack they have really well thought-out features such as removable hip belts, front grab handles, gear loops, lightweight roll-top closure and hideaway ice-axe storage, dependent on the model. If you’re planning on completing a mountain marathon or adventure race this summer, check out their range of waterproofs. Weighing in at only 143g the Minimus Smock is the lightest membrane waterproof we’ve ever come across, whilst the jacket version is still only 232g.
For Alpine climbing or cooler weather hiking take a look at the men’s and women’s Alpine Stretch Jackets. These are wicking, stretchy and fast drying softshells with some great climbing specific features such as a helmet-compatible hood and harness-compatible pockets.
