Postal Strike – Friday July 17th

On Friday July 17th the Communication Workers Union have called for a partial strike of postal workers to protest against spending cuts and executive action by Royal Mail’s management. This strike will affect a significant percentage of our deliveries sent out between now and the end of the week.

Our action

  • Next day orders placed today  will be sent out as usual via Royal Mail Special Delivery and Parcelforce, these should be unaffected by the strike.
  • Next day orders placed on Thursday and Friday will wherever possible be sent out via Parcelforce and will be with you as arranged. If this is not possible then we will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery.
  • All standard shipping orders dispatched this week to affected areas are likely to be delayed by at least one day, unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this. Expect these parcels to take approximately one week to arrive.
