Busy Weekend

A busy weekend for us here at Facewest. Not at work but out in the hills. Sam set off with to the Cairngorms with a massive party of Leeds University climbers and walkers. They found that there was so much snow that skiing would have been the best option but settled for some excellent winter walking. There were reports of snow drifts over 6 feet deep! Tim headed to Scafell and Bowfell in the Lakes hunting for that rare thing, quality english ice. The search was sucessfull with Steep Gill and Moss Gill being climbed on Scafell Pike and numerous laps done on Great End.
I went to the Wadsworth Trog fell race in Hebden Bridge. 20 miles of snow and tussock but glorious weather for the most part made for an excellent race won by all round legend Rob Jebb of bingley harriers.

Hope you had as much fun as we did.
