New Petzl Climbing Helmets

We have added 2 new models of helmet and some new colours so you can have more choice of lid.

Petzl Meteor III, following on from the Meteor (what happened to the Meteor II?) this is the ultralight climbing helmet. Only 235g and one size fits all. It’s a bike style polystyrene helmet with a hard shell to be really light but still UIAA approved. It probably isn’t the most durable of helmets but ultralight stuff never is. Colour is white only.

Petzl Ecrin Roc. This is the classic petzl climbing helmet with a hard polycarbonate shell and internal cradle. Very easy to adjust in all directions and the type of helmet you could still be wearing in 10 years. (if you were unwise enough to ignore UV degradation) Weighs 445g, One size and 2 colours. A true mountaineering classic. Of coures UIAA approved

Petzl Elios. It’s the middle ground between the other 2. It’s a hard shell lid not polystyrene with a cradle but not as beefy as the Ecrin Roc. Weighs 345g. UIAA approved. It’s the best compromise between weight and protection for most climbers. We have been selling it for a couple of years but have added two extra colours. Now comes in White, Orange or Blue and in 2 sizes.

Gone are the days of wearing a big, obstructive, heavy p*ss pot on your head.
Get a helemt and wear it.
