I purchased one of these bottles for the OMM (Original Mountain Marathon) a few weeks ago and found it a good solution and more reliable way to store water than a bladder system or just filling up from streams as you go. The bottle is big but small enough to stuff down the side of your pack and also the lock system ensures there are no spills.

I have used Nalgene and Sigg bottles before, also Platypus and Source hydration packs. I think this is the best of the lot. It is the perfect size for my pack's side pockets (Golite Jam). A cap with a clip covers the nozzle, you just lift the cap and then lift the nozzle. The bottle is not rigid like other Nalgene, it is more 'rubbery'. You squeeze it and it jets the contents out. Volume markings on the side are handy. Easy to clean and doesn't hold taste or stains. Good price too from Facewest, and quick delivery.

The Nalgene all terrain bottle 1Litre is a fantastic bottle it is light, the weight is exactly 108 grams. The screw top with itsdrink spout and clear lid is useful you can get a quick drink or unscrew it completely if you want a larger amount of water. The clear lid is great as it protects the drink spout from dirt, the spout has a pull/push mechanism to make the water/juice to flow (i. e. you pull it with your teeth to drink then push it to close it). It has the graduation markings like the normal Nalgene everyday bottle which is very useful for cooking to make sure you are adding the correct amount of water to a freeze dried meal. The Nalgene atb 1L bottle will not fit in a cycle bottle cage if you want that you will need the smaller 650ml Nalgene which Facewest all so sell.

This is a water bottle that seems like it could easily withstand for years the rigours of wild camping. Extremely well made, it has proven to be tough and durable even when not looked after quite as it should have been, bouncing 30ft down a granite rock face with only two or three scratches to show for it. The pull up spout system works perfectly and doesn't leak, and the hinged mud-cap has a snug fitting catch that keeps it closed. The bottle itself has volume markings in both ml and fl oz which is very useful when cooking, and the wide mouth means it's no hassle to fill from streams. Can't really find any negative points. Great product!

The bottle is excellent. My son needs this type of bottle for his trek in the Sahara Desert. Very robust indeed.

This is a tough bottle with a good, and apparently reliable, seal. It has a wide mouth for easy filling from streams, and a pull-up spout which doesn't leak and is protected by a clear hinged cap. It also has comprehensive volume markings in both ml and fl oz, very handy for cooking. It's flexible with a nice, robust, feel to it. It ticks all the boxes - I would certainly recommend it.

Lightweight, squeezable, sturdy, LDPE, doesn't leak - it's hard to fault this bottle. A handle might be useful perhaps, but other than that, I love it.

The bottle itself is excellent. It is very squeezable, much more so than its 650ml smaller brother. I personally bought it to use with the Travel Tap water filter cap, which fits perfectly. The wide mouth naturally fits all the usual Nalgene caps, but also accommodates the Humangear CapCap perfectly without leaking, and also the Sigg wide mouth converter, which can be a bit hit and miss with other bottles. The bottle is very light, and feels very durable, I imagine it would survive being dropped even better than the rigid Nalgene bottles, as there would be a certain amount of give due to its pliable nature. The only problem with this bottle is the cap, which is a big let down and is frankly unworthy of being part of a Nalgene product. It is flimsy and cheap and I have no doubt that it would break within a few weeks of being used, but I immediately consigned it to the bin in favour of the Humangear CapCap. All in all a great bottle, but let down by the cheap cap.
